Rays of Sunshine

Ray of Sunshine beads
"Ray of Sunshine Beads"
Beads made in honor of my father, Ray Rogers incorporating his ashes within the beads. Made for family members.

having fun in the polymer realm with new shapes and lots of color.

You deserve a hand

Why not poly headpins?

Endless possibilities

Faceted poly beads using ideas from Shipwreck Dandy's tute

I was definitely on an orange binge

Matchsticks were flying out of the shop this week.

Crusting up.
These came out so chalky that I rubbed coconut oil on them to bring the color back up.
Now I'm happy again.

Some new frit to play with

Like I said...orange

Procrastination bracelets.
I start them and put them down, do a little more, ignore, neglect
but I finally finished a couple!

Giving some orphan beads their place in the sun.

These were kind of funny
some of my epoxy clay experimental headpins put to use.

These wings carried them right on out of my facebook biz page during a flash sale,
Which is good because mostly folks are ever buying components in my Etsy shop.
Extending my reach thru social media because I need to reach some of the non-makers too.
But friends with good taste all the same... and some are also artists I might add.

I vowed to use these zinc chandeliers that I bought last gem show before this coming gem show.
And a dainty thrift shop chain was dismantled for the drops.

Oh, PicMonkey collage time!

More bang for the buck for no bucks

Poly chunk beads messy painting is fun with Blue Bottle Tree's awesome rustic component tutorial

Next stop is the gem show starting next week and I hope to share some of the fun finds along the way.
Caiou for now,
XOXO Kim

  1. Stunning I love those hot orange colours in the beads and copper sticks. Fierce and molten. The poly pins are very cool too.

  2. Wow, you've been busy! All of it gorgeous, of course. I especially love the polymer shapes and headpins. And those rustic beads at the end are great - that's one of my favorite tutorials. I've also been grooving on the one SLArtisanAccents just added. And combining ideas from the two as well. Polymer clay is such fun!

Thanks for sharing all these beauties... such great eye candy. LOVE your orange binge.

  11. You have shown us some great stuff--and it's always thrilling to see things from your side of the planet, Kim. The poly-beads are beautiful! But so are the glass, and the one's containing ashes are stunning.
