*Numinosinchies*

I've tried my hand at inchies for the first time. Some of you may be familiar with Artist Trading Cards which have have to be creations with the measurements of 3.5 inches by 2.5 inches and have the one requirement that they be somewhat flat for ease of collecting.

Lately I've been introduced to "Inchies" which have the requirement of measuring a wee 1 inch square.

This sounded like a fun and possibly another addicting exercise that I decided to try a few days ago.

Quite a few of them I wrapped in snippets of nylon stockings to mute and contain the contents.

  2. Kass,
Thanks and good question about the display, I haven't thought of that yet! I'm sure somebody's got some clever way that they've thought of. I need to look into it.

Yes, very addicting. I want to make more. Now i'm in the upheaval of moving v=back to Alaska and a whole other studio of different supplies and I'm looking forward to noodling around with more inchies. One of my FB friends even got inspired to make her first inchy, Haven't seen her since we were 12!
The little purple glass pieces are antique shards that changed color in the sun out on our desert property.
My husband has gotten inspired to make jewelry from the old glass. I guess I've been an influence on him too!

  6. I like your inchies. What fun. I do small pins like that, I might have to photograph them and post them. You've given me an idea. I think inchies are a great idea for people who might doodle a lot. Just a thought.

  7. Thanks for all of your comments, Joy.
    Let's see your pins!
I think inchies are good for everyone to try even for people that don't have much confidence in their artistic abilities.

  8. Kim, those inchies are great. I had a go but your ideas are much cleverer. I like your idea of using stocking and I may try it on something else.

  9. Love 'em! I also think that the idea of wrapping them with the nylon is so clever! Ingenious! My fave is the fish with the umbrella...
